Simmy and Ken’s Brighton engagement session really was a bit of an adventure and I, for one, loved every minute of it. We started in the forest near where Ken grew up, with the most amazing carpet of bluebells that stretched as far as you could see. We found a little patch of dappled sunshine peeking through the canopy and, well, you can see for yourself… We wandered through the peaceful glade and, thanks to Ken’s sister, who was on hand to show us around, we found a few other cute spots for some romantic shots.
Part two (and a change of outfit) of our adventure took us to a little pub just outside of Brighton, situated on a canal, where they rent canoes for a bit of afternoon fun. It was an absolutely gorgeous day, perfect for messing about on the water. The great thing about planning activities for your photo-shoot is that you don’t have to worry about posing for the camera. You can just get on with the fun and let your photographer capture it all. These guys had a great time canoeing and it set us up for part three, Brighton Beach.
There could only be one place left to go… Brighton Beach for the sunset. Simmy’s gorgeous dressed glowed in the sunshine and by this time we were all so relaxed, everything just flowed. It was an absolutely amazing afternoon and I cannot wait for their wedding at Fetcham Park in July.
This last image is a double exposure created from one shot in the forest and one by the beach. I think it sums up our day perfectly. For a creative and beautiful Brighton engagement shoot, or anywhere, really, do click on the contact button. I’d really love to hear from you.
